TPS92314A is a high current offline primary side sensing controller with PFC in 8-SOIC

The TPS92314A is an offline controller specifically designed to drive high power LEDs for lighting applications. Features include adaptive constant on-time control and quasi-resonant switching. Resonant switching reduces EMI signatures and improves system efficiency. Therefore, the device introduces low external part count and high integration. The control algorithm of the TPS92314A dynamically adjusts the on-time based on the primary inductor peak current and the secondary inductor discharge time, and its response time is set by an external capacitor.

Overcurrent protection is achieved by cycle-by-cycle current limiting of the primary inductor current. The TPS92314A has a higher OCP threshold and is more suitable for general-purpose line applications, and the TPS92314A can optimize system cost. Additional monitoring features of the TPS92314A include VCC overvoltage protection and undervoltage lockout, output LED overvoltage protection, and AD5318BRUZ-REEL controller thermal shutdown. The TPS92314A is available in an 8-pin SOIC package.
